Harper's Blessing

Dave blessed Harper in the Price 9th Ward on December 4, 2016.  It was a wonderful blessing.  We were happy to have Grandma and Grandpa Oberholtzer and Uncle Darin travel for the special occasion.  We are so blessed with great family and also so blessed to have baby Harper in our family.

Halloween 2016

I realized that I never posted anything about Halloween this year.  I guess that's what happens when you have a c-section 5 days before Halloween.  The kids both chose super hero costumes this year.  Zander was Kid Flash and Haylie was Batgirl.  Our ward party was really early in the month so we got the costumes ready way before Halloween.  That ended up working out nicely since things were a little crazy at the end of the month.  Dave was a great helper in getting everyone ready for school that morning, and also taking them around to do trick or treating.  I stayed home with Harper and answered the door.

Haylie Turns 11

Haylie turned 11 on December 1.  We booked a party at the local craft store for this year's celebration.  It ended up being a very busy day with Haylie's party after school and then Dave's work Christmas party scheduled for that night.  Everything seems to be even more complicated when you are juggling a newborn on top of it all.  The party was a big success with a fun group of girls making some earrings and bracelets at the craft store.  Haylie has made some hard, but positive decisions this year about what kind of friends she wants to have.  This party was a great payoff for choosing good friends.  I am so proud of Haylie for the choices she makes and the wonderful person she is. She has been such a help and support to me the past few months and I am grateful to have her as my oldest child.  She is such a good example.  Happy birthday Haylie!  I have no idea how you got to be 11 years old!!
