Halloween 2015

Finally I have kids old enough to gut their own pumpkins.  The weird thing was they actually enjoyed it!  This year, Zander was a baby Zombie from the game Minecraft (his whole world right now) Haylie was a witch, Charlotte was a bat, and Dave was a party pooper!

Las Vegas

Every October, Dave goes to a Calix conference in Las Vegas.  It never has worked out that I could go with him but this year since I am not teaching, I was able to go with him.  My parents came to stay with the kids and we got to enjoy a little fun in Las Vegas.  I hadn't been there since I was 14 so as you can imagine, a lot had changed.  We stayed at the Wynn Hotel, which was pretty fancy, and the entertainment for the conference was Jay Leno, who was really funny.  We had a good time.  I think the kids were a little nervous having us gone and having to go on with their usual routine (Zander got in trouble at school), but mostly they did great.

More garden shots.  I can't remember if these were in the Wynn or the Bellagio

Museum of Natural Curiosity

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Oberholtzer's house for Labor Day weekend and met up with the Harwood Cousins there.  On Monday we went to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Pointe in Lehi before heading home.  It is an awesome place!  We spent 7 hours there and could have stayed longer.  They have several different areas with different themes, and something to appeal to everyone!  We had a great time and now that we know we live less than two hours away from this little gem we will have to plan more trips to it!

Water Works!  They had all kinds of things to build paths for water to go through.

Topographical sand!  As you moved the sand around the projector changed to show high and low spots

More water works.

There is Beauty Everywhere!

Yes, there is even beauty to be found in Price, UT!  I am glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me!

Color Run

I ran in a color run that was a fundraiser for the high school drill team.  Haylie didn't officially enter, but rode her bike along with me.  We had a great time getting colored chalk thrown at us and getting to throw some too after we finished.  I was proud of myself for being the 3rd or 4th person to finish the race.  It wasn't timed, but running several times a week for over a year paid off.

First day of school

Haylie is in Mrs. Ellis' 4th grade class this year and Zander is in Mr. Lasslo's 2nd grade.  They are growing up so fast!
