Extra Boys

This is what our house looks like several afternoons a week.  We get neighbor boys who stop by to play.  Twins, Will and Coleman Hinckley, live around the corner and come over a few times a week.   One of the twins is in the picture along with Zander, and Grant and Grayson Sherman, from a family that we swap babysitting and are good friends with. It is fun to have good friends nearby!!

Jazz Game

Emery Telcom provided tickets for employees and their families who wanted to go to a Utah Jazz Basketball game in Salt Lake.  We decided to take the kids up to the game.  It was a fun time.  They weren't that interested in the basketball game but had fun with the shows and contests at timeouts and at halftime.  They also enjoyed the extremely overpriced popcorn and Dippin' Dots!

Watch Out for Flying Trampolines!

Price boasts some extremely high winds from time to time.  One day this January our trampoline became a victim of the high winds.  It hit a rain gutter on our house before blowing up onto Dave's truck and eventually coming to a stop out in the road.  I held on to it out in the road until Dave could come from work to help secure.  Thanks to some kind neighbors, Dave and Jan Cox, for helping us in incredibly cold winds, we got the net off the trampoline and laid the it upside down until the winds died down enough to turn it back over.  Unfortunately, the net didn't survive the ordeal but the trampoline is still in good shape.  The weird thing is that it costs more to replace the net that to just get the whole trampoline and net together.

Christmas 2013

This year for Christmas we decided to join with the Harwood's and give the kids a trip to San Diego.  We decorated for Christmas at our house but actually spent Christmas at my parents house so that it would be easier to get to the airport on Christmas Day.  I made a Shutterfly Book about the trip itself so I will just include the pictures of  Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house and pictures of the little Christmas celebration we had at our house before we went to spend Christams in Perry.

Haylie's Baptism

Haylie turned 8 on December 1, 2013 and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on December 7, 2013.  We celebrated her birthday with the Oberholtzer side of the family while we were in Perry for Thanksgiving.  Then, the following weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Oberholtzer and Uncle Darin came to Price to be a part of Haylie's baptism.  Darin and I gave talks at the baptism and Grandma and Grandpa gave the prayers, and Dave did the baptizing and confirming. Since most of our family is far away, most of them couldn't make the trip to the baptism but we did have a lot of support from our ward.  I am so proud of the decisions Haylie is making in her life.  She has a strong desire to do what is right and keeps our family on the right path.  I can't believe she is already 8!  Time has really flown by!

Halloween 2013

This Halloween I had a chance to hone my sewing skills.  I sewed both of the kids costumes with turned out pretty cool.  Haylie wanted to be a parrot and Zander wanted to be a Ninja Turtle.  Dave was in Vegas for training for most of the week before Halloween.  I was actually supposed to go with him but figuring out what to do with the kids was a problem as well and getting those darn costumes done in time.  We talked to Dave via Google Hangout each night and showed him the progress on the costumes.  We missed his intricate pumpkin designs while carving pumpkins but were very glad he was back in time for the big night.

Boise

The kids and I have a few days off in October so we decided to take a trip to Boise.  My sister Alyson and her family live there as well as some awesome friends from the 9 years we spent living there.  The kids did awesome on the long car trip.  They listened to a few audio books and hardly said a word the entire time because they were so engrossed in the stories. Haylie and Zander both love to play with their Harwood cousins so they were off on a thousand adventures with them the minute we walked in the door.  We took them to the zoo and I got to go out to dinner with Laura, Kristi, Jenn, and Kim, some of the greatest friends a girl could ask for.  It is always fun to go back and see places that used to be so familiar, and see people that are so important to me.
The first time seeing our old house since we sold it.

Somewhere I have pictures of these guys on this tiger as babies.
